When looking for opportunities to make more money you need look no further than your current job. This isn’t technically a side job, but there are several ways that you can earn some extra chedda at your full-time job. You could work more hours and get overtime pay. Most companies pay a referral bonus, so you could introduce new employees or customers to the company. 2.Do some freelance work

A very flexible side hustle that doesn’t require long-term commitments is to do freelance work. Think about the things that you are competent in, special skills or knowledge that you have. This could be anything from content writing to doing excel spreadsheet work for a local company to doing voice over work for a video producer. It all depends on your interests and talents. The best part is that there’s no shortage of websites to find one of the millions of freelance opportunities worldwide.

Here are few sites to check out:

Fiverr

Freelancer

3.Affiliate Marketing

You may have seen webinars on Facebook or got on an email list promoting affiliate marketing and how to make millions doing it. Basically, affiliate marketing is where you promote a product or service on your website, with a unique code and if a visitor clicks that link and makes a purchase, you get paid. It is a very low-cost way to make a lot of money because you don’t have to create a product, carry an inventory, or have any other expenses. 4.Squeeze some cash out of your car

Do you own a car? Great, the hard part is done. You can capitalize on your car ownership in a couple ways. Renting it out whenever you’re not using it through sites like Getaround and Turo

Or, drive people around in your car. You can become a driver for either Uber or Lyft. Depending on your location, you may be able to earn up to $35 per hour.

And…. you can also use your car windows as advertisements. This works whether you’re driving your car or you rent it out to someone else. Sites like referralcars allow you to put a company sticker on your car window for some extra passive income.

5.House and office cleaning

If you don’t mind rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty, you can clean homes or offices. You can find cleaning jobs on craigslist in your area. Typically, office cleaning is done after the work day, so it’s a good late-night hustle for some extra cash. I cleaned an Ace Hardware store at night a couple nights a week for some extra cash. If you do want to start your own cleaning service, be sure to get bonded and insured.

6.Network marketing

“I’d like to talk to you about an opportunity…” is the line you’ve probably heard a few times in your life. What follows is a pitch for the latest health drink, essential oils, or vitamin supplement containing an obscure berry with anti-aging properties. Sometimes called multi-level marketing or MLM, these business models are set up for hard workers to recruit some friends and family and get paid for years to come. Despite the bad wrap they get, I know plenty of millionaires that made their fortunes in network marketing. Ever heard of Avon, Mary Kay or Advocare? These are some of the top companies in the space, but there are hundreds of companies that offer direct-selling opportunities.

7.Publish an e-book

Ever thought about becoming a paid writer? Let’s say you have years of beekeeping experience and write a blog about your experience. That experience has value that you can capitalize on. You can take all your top blog posts to create an e-book, call it The Ultimate Beekeeper’s Guide, and sell it on your website or the world’s largest bookstore, Amazon. But what if I don’t have any experience? You ask. Well, if you have a talent for writing on any another topic, then write and publish an e-book on that topic on Amazon.

8.Sell your stuff online

One of the easiest ways you can make money on the side is by selling the stuff that you already own but no longer have a use for. CDs, books, DVDs, etc. are all things that someone else have a use for, so sell it to them. You can use sites like eBay, Craigslist, and decluttr you can sell that stuff without having to leave the comfort of your home.

9.Rent your stuff

You can sell the stuff you’re not using, but you can also rent that stuff and continue to get paid. If you have extra space in your house, rent it out on neiybor. If you have a house that you’re not using you can always rent it using, Airbnb. If you have a bike that you’re not using, rent it out on spinlister. Just about anything that you own can be rented out for a fee. We’ll have more on this topic in following articles.

10.Drop Ship

When you don’t have anything that you own that you can sell, you can make money selling another people’s stuff by drop shipping. In a drop shipping setup, you sell new items for a distributor or manufacturer on sites such as eBay or Amazon and when the item sells, the manufacturer ships the product from their warehouse and you get a percentage of the sale. No inventory, no post office, you just get paid for facilitating the transaction.

This is an area we will explore in much greater detail in upcoming posts.

11.Programming

Do you have a knack for or experience building software, apps, or websites? Well a lot of people and even small businesses that have no idea. That is an opportunity for you. You can take that interest and turn it into a very profitable side hustle. Technical knowledge is the golden ticket that allows you to work whenever and wherever you want. You can sell your skills on a gig site like fiverr.com or just start doing work for friends and family and spread the word. There’s a lot of opportunity to make good money in this area.

12.Baby Sitting or Dog Sitting

Child care is a big business. You don’t have to go all in and become a full-on child care specialist to capitalize on this market. Babysitting isn’t just for pre-teen girls, adults can babysit, housesit, and petsit. You may be able to make $100 per-night babysitting. Start by getting the word out to friends, family members, neighbors, etc. People hire people they like and trust to take care of their kids, pets and house, so word of mouth will be the key to this side gig. If you make it more than a side gig, check out care.com.

As an off-shoot of dog sitting, you can also be a dog walker for friends, neighbors and family. Or if you want to take it up a notch check out wag.com.

13.Become a teacher or tutor

Everyone knows something they can teach to someone else. From guitar lessons to how to speak English to a physical trainer, you’ve got some knowledge in some area. You can find opportunities to teach or tutor on craigslist or Facebook and in a lot of cases you may be able to do this from the comfort of your home.

14.Paid to grocery shop

In this new digital economy, the retail and grocery markets are experiencing a shift that you can capitalize on. People are ordering their groceries online and either picking them up at the store or having them delivered by someone like you. Instacart is one company that you can sign up as a part-time or full-time grocery shopper and delivery person. It’s a lot like Uber where you set your own hours and drive your own car, but you can make a nice little side income through grocery delivery.

15.Surveys

If you want an easy way to make some extra bling, surveys are about as easy as you can get. They can be a little time consuming and the payoff for each survey works out to be about $8/hour, so the key is to be a member of a bunch of them.

Swagbucks is one of the best out there. Super simple, and you can usually earn $5 for 20-30 minutes of mindless work.

Opinion Outpost is another legit site. Most surveys take about 15 minutes and you can earn points to redeem for gift cards. The also do a drawing every quarter where you can win up to $10,000.

Here’s a great article about some other great survey gigs.

Bonus–Mystery Shopper

Mobee is a great shopper app that pays you in points for spending 5-10 minutes in a store answering a few questions and taking a few pics. Super easy.
